Ian has provided inspiration for both our Georgian home and our London 1970’s apartment.
The contrast between the two locations could not be greater. However, Ian’s skill and artistry have ensured both homes are not only stylish and welcoming but also comfortable.
The Georgian house is traditional but with a modern slant whilst Ian has transformed the apartment from a series of boxes into a flowing and harmonious environment. The schemes are modern and interesting but withstand the vagaries of fashion – some work is over ten years old but still looks very chic.
I am confident when working with Ian that he will present interior schemes that are interesting and vibrant, and which take cognisance of the client’s own tastes.
Working with Ian was one of the highlights of building our new home, he chose all our wallpaper, paint colours, made and fitted all curtains and soft furnishings. He provided expert advice every step of the way and nothing was too much trouble. He worked hard to make our budget stretch to everything we wanted to do.
We will be back for an update in a few years!

Ian was a massive help in decorating our eighteenth-century house. He provided inspiration and teased out of us ideas about exactly we wanted. The advice on schemes, fabrics furniture and pictures were excellent, and the works supervised in an efficient way. His charm and sense of humour made the process less painful than we imagined.
Delighted with the result, a house that has been sympathetically updated without losing its period charm.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ian to others.

Ian worked closely with me to change the overall feel of my house, to make it feel more “finished” and more me. Firstly, he got to know me, to understand how I live and what style I was most comfortable with. We chose the wallpapers and fabrics together, and there was never any pressure to choose quickly or have anything I was not comfortable with.
The overall finished look of the house was fantastic, much more “finished” than I could have done on my own. I recently sold the house and quite unprompted by me, the estate agent opened her description with ” Ready to be wowed!!”
I have now bought another house and cannot wait for the building work to be completed so I can work again with Ian to make it “Wow!!”
I went to No 16 Interiors at the end of a very long and difficult renovation. I had lost interest in what should have been the most exciting part of the journey – the design. After the first consultation with Ian my interest was re-ignited as he went through several schemes, taking on board my own personal style and steering me where necessary to make more interesting design choices that I would never have made on my own.
Ian has the ability to listen well and then apply that to design recommendations. The end result was a beautiful living room that I feel reflects my personality. It has gone from a room that was hardly used to our favourite place to spend time.
